I'm TAMIR.
If I had to sum up what I'm all about in some kind of thesis statement, it would probably be something like: being a vessel of God’s love by lending an open ear and heart to those whose voices are in need of being heard, offer support to those in need, and assist people in believing and accepting their God-given value and worth.
I know, it's a mouthful.
I'm all about people. I'm an advocate for social justice, loving my career as a clinical social worker, and serve my church as a mentor and leader. I'm an Afro-Latina, living in Jersey City, NJ, where you can find me drinking morning cups of strong Bustelo, journaling, dancing like nobody's watching, and vacationing with family and friends.
Though I've been faced with challenges like facing low self-esteem and self-hate, people-pleasing, unhealthy relationship cycles, and fear, the main themes that describe my life would be the God-given peace, wisdom, and community support that have gotten me through all of that.
I look forward to sharing my journey with you.
